there is a better par 5 in Texas, I would love to play it.
This double dogleg par 5 is a definite 3 shot par 5. Trees
and out of bounds guard the left side and fairway bunkers guard
the right. Ideally, the hole should be played with a draw tee
shot and then, using the fairway bunkers on the left as a visual
target, lay-up with a solid long iron or fairway wood favoring
the left as Lake Conroe borders the entire right side of the
fairway and front of the green. All carry approach shots can
vary from 120 to 200 + yards. The lay-up is key on this hole.
The green is very wide and bunkered short left and back and
slopes back to front. If the wind is blowing, pars are like
eagles. A dynamite golf hole!
